Pooja’s father is a carpenter whose health has been failing him, lately. In his suffering, he can only hope to somehow support his family’s survival. Yet, like any doting father, he wishes for his daughter to live a happy, independent life, doing what she loves. The SAC program helped Pooja’s family in relieving the financial pressure by funding Pooja’s education at St. Philomena’s High School, Bengaluru, India. A diligent child, Pooja touchingly writes about how she wants to “earn an education” and become an IAS officer with the help of SAC. Apart from fulfilling this dream, the SAC is giving Pooja the opportunity to make many friends and memories to cherish.
